Lots of singles, but few weddings

This is a really good point. It's hard to even build friendships with people of the opposite gender without fellow church members or locals spreading gossip or casting the looks, etc. If we can't even get to know each other on a friendship level, we're not going to risk going further and really setting things flying. I've personally experienced the heartache of gossip destroying a good friendship, or people refusing to even be seen talking to me because of the above issues. I'd love for this to change because friendships with the opposite gender are such a blessing even without going any further.
