Nicki joined Abide in 2023. He later became the Executive Director in 2024. He is a member at Village Seven Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is licensed to preach in the PCA and is actively looking for a call. Nicki joined Abide because he saw a need for NAPARC denominations to have a greater degree of fellowship. He enjoys connecting young, like-minded believers together. Nicki is very excited to see what becomes of Abide long-term as Abide seeks to be represented in every state. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing pickleball, and going for hikes.

Richard joined Abide in 2023. He’s a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in the Woodlands, Texas. He hopes to use his business experience to help Abide grow as he believes it has amazing potential for connecting young believers. Ever since he attended his first Abide retreat in 2021, Richard has been excited about the idea of bringing together like-minded young people around the country in Christian fellowship. Richard manages a number of small companies across the US, and enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and traveling with his wife Rebecca.

Kellan joined Abide in 2021. He attends New Hope Church of Hanford, California. Kellan enjoys serving with Abide because it targets a demographic he's passionate about and wishes to see flourish in the Lord. He’s an accountant by trade currently working for a family farming operation. In Kellan's free time, he enjoys hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains and shooting with friends.

Keane joined Abide in 2023. He is a member at Grace Presbyterian Church in Fresno, California. He joined Abide after seeing the value of creating events to have young reformed adults make new connections. Keane works as a prosecutor. Some of his hobbies consist of traveling, reading, being involved in politics. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Erica.

Marianne joined Abide in 2020. She’s a member of Escondido United Reformed Church in Escondido, California. Marianne decided to volunteer with Abide after seeing how being intentional about fellowship in her own church benefitted herself and those around her in their walks with Christ. Marianne works as a dental hygienist and loves all the stories she hears. Some of her hobbies are reading, trying new recipes (usually baking) and planning
her next trip.

Joel is the Pastor of New Hope Church of Hanford, California, where he preaches and serves the congregation. As part of the founding of Abide in 2016, he enjoys encouraging young adults to develop and use their God-given gifts to serve their peers. He also enjoys spending time with his family, reading, hospitality, boating, and traveling. He is married to Heidi and they have five children.

Rachel joined Abide in 2024. She is a member of Emmaus Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. She joined Abide because she loves the connections and fellowship with other reformed young adults. Rachel works in the beauty industry as a Medical Aesthetician. She has been in this field of work for 7 years and absolutely loves helping people look and feel their best! Rachel also loves music and her primary hobby outside of work is playing piano. She also enjoys anything outdoors, especially hiking in the Rocky Mountains.

Sydney joined Abide in 2023. She is a member of Bellingham United Reformed Church in Bellingham, Washington. She joined Abide because she enjoyed many Abide events, and wanted to give back. She has since become more involved with Abide, organized events, outreach, build relationships, and has been a meaningful witness in the lives of others. Sydney works as a server and host at an Asian restaurant in Burlington, Washington. She enjoys creative hobbies like photography, doodling and cooking up new recipes, as well as going on adventures with her fiancé, Matthew.

David joined Abide in 2023. He is a member of Trinity United Reformed Church in Visalia, California. He greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow believing young adults at Abide events in the last few years, and is excited to help Abide continue gathering young adults in Christian fellowship. David works as an Administrative Analyst at Self-Help Enterprises in Visalia, a non-profit organization providing a variety of low-income support services to the Central Valley. In his free time, David enjoys playing soccer and video games.

Erica joined Abide in 2024. She attends Fresno Reformed Presbyterian Church in Fresno, California. She has attended many Abide events over the years, and met her husband through one of the retreats. Erica joined Abide because she loves to see reformed young adults be able to get together and form deep friendships and to have the opportunity to connect and grow in their faith. A couple of her favorite things to do are play the piano (which she also teaches) she also loves taking road trips all over the PNW with her husband, Keane.

Gianna joined Abide in 2024. She met her husband, Melwin, at an Abide retreat in 2024 and now is a member of s a member at Albuquerque Presbyterian Church in New Mexico. She joined Abide because she wants to see this amazing ministry flourish and believes that fellowship with like minded believers in similar walks of life is invaluable. Gianna enjoys hiking, playing violin and piano, enjoys spending time with her 13 siblings, and is expecting her first child!

Alyssa joined Abide in 2024. She is a member of Cornerstone United Reformed Church in Sanborn, Iowa. She joined Abide because she is passionate about the opportunities that Abide gives young adults to connect with one another and wants to help continue that goal. Alyssa has worked for her family's business for the last 3 years. For fun, Alyssa enjoys trying new recipes, learning to make things by hand, working on the farm, and traveling to new places.

Lauren joined Abide in 2023. She attends Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, California. She enjoys helping bring Christian young adults together in fellowship, and to strengthen one another's knowledge of the Lord. Lauren works as a reimbursement specialist for RIS RX. Lauren enjoys running and reading in her free time.

Matt joined Abide in 2024. He is a member at Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church in White Rock, New Mexico. Matt volunteers with Abide because he considers Abide’s mission to be an integral part of the church’s daily life (Acts 2:42) and something we ought to work harder towards. He works as a Lab Scientist for an outpatient clinic in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He enjoys meeting people and learning about the medical profession. Some of his hobbies include reading, woodworking and playing soccer.

James joined Abide in 2024. He is a member at Phoenix United Reformed Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Following his participation in a Twenties and Thirties group at his church, James was eager to learn more about how to connect with and foster fellowship among young people at neighboring NAPARC churches by becoming an Area Coordinator of Events through Abide. James recently graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in French and Business. James plays the guitar and loves reading History.

Kevin joined Abide in 2025 and is a member of Oceanside United Reformed Church in Oceanside, CA. He decided to become an Abide volunteer because he desires to encourage others and point them to the peace, love, and truth found in Jesus Christ, while also helping create opportunities for God’s people to gather in fellowship. Kevin works as a warehouse employee for a soap manufacturer, and in his free time, he enjoys pickleball, photography, and relaxing days at the beach.

Josiah joined Abide in 2026 and is a deacon at New Life PCA in Hopewell, Pennsylvania. He loves bringing people together across denominations for intentional Christian fellowship. Josiah works as a fantasy novelist and creative writing teacher, and he is passionate about the power of stories. He also enjoys engaging in lively intellectual discussions, playing board games, and hiking to gorgeous overlooks.

Gerrit started coming to Abide in 2024 and joined out of curiosity. He has gone on to create more friendships and memories like sunrise hikes, late-night games, and guitar hymn singing. He is a member at Loveland CO Calvary URC and work on a farm. He enjoys most active outdoor hobbies, like backpacking and spike-ball.

Jacob joined Abide in 2025. He is a member of Pompton Plains Reformed Bible Church in New Jersey. Jacob uses his professional skills to connect local young adults in North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council (NAPARC) churches. Unfortunately, many NAPARC members don't have opportunities to interact much with each other, and Abide bridges the gap. Jacob is visiting different denominations to increase fellowship between the young people of those churches. He is excited to see what becomes of Abide long-term. He enjoys reformed theology, traveling the world, hiking, cycling, swimming, and golfing.

MaryJo joined Abide in 2026 and attends Zion Reformed Church in Menno. She volunteers with Abide because of her desire to serve others during a pivotal season of life and to help cultivate real and meaningful Christian fellowship among young adults. She works in bookkeeping for her family’s implement dealership and enjoys fishing, photography, shooting, and crocheting in her free time.

I first attended an Abide event in 2023 and have been encouraged to get more involved since then. I attend Calvary United Reformed Church in Loveland, Colorado, and I am looking forward to volunteering with Abide as a way to meet, get to know, and spend time with other young adults in my area. I work as a Service Technician at Floyd’s Truck Center. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, and backpacking.

Tara joined Abide in 2025 and attends Reformation Fellowship OPC in Roseville, California. She became an Abide volunteer to help young people from local Reformed churches connect and build stronger communities with one another. Tara serves as the coordinator of the Living History program at Rock-N-Water Christian Camps. She is also an entrepreneur, running her own business breeding sweet-natured golden retrievers, and is the author of a series of books on livestock showmanship. In her free time, Tara enjoys ultimate frisbee, working with and teaching youth, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Jeffery joined Abide in 2026 and he attends South Austin Presbyterian Church (OPC), where he also serve as a second minister. He joined Abide with the desire to foster stronger connections among young adults in Reformed churches, encouraging mutual support through the challenges of life. In Jeffrey's free time, he enjoys agriculture, fishing, and anything related to Nintendo. Above all, he loves the Lord Jesus Christ and is deeply grateful for His saving grace, while finding great joy in sharing the good news of a God who not only saves but also comforts His people.

Austin joined Abide in 2024. He is a member of CrossPoint Church (PCA) in Park City, Utah. What excites him about Abide is the opportunity that it gives to help young Reformed Christians to meet and connect, leading to Christ centered friendships and community. Austin is an Airline Pilot and he also serves in the Navy Reserves where he is a pilot as well. For hobbies, Austin is an avid snow skier and you can find him on the mountain any day that he is not working. During the summer he loves to mountain bike, maintain his hives as a beekeeper, or find a nice patch of grass outside to read a good book.

Erika joined Abide in 2026 because she wanted to help create opportunities for herself and other young adults attending NAPARC churches to meet and build friendships. She attend Trinitas PCA in Woodinville, Washington. Professionally, Erika works as an independent contractor doing AI and software related work, and is also works very part time for Vandersoft, a mobile app company owned by her uncle. Right now she is working on updating some of his older apps. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball and keeping fish. She generally enjoys most casual sports, but pickleball is her favorite!

Georgi joined Abide in 2026 because she wanted to build community and create connections between like-minded believers. She attends Olympia Bible Presbyterian Church in Olympia, Washington. Her main job is a para-educator for special needs. She also has a few other gigs as well as serving at a youth group. Hobbies she enjoys include rock-climbing, writing, and hiking.

Whitney joined Abide in 2026 and has attended Sovereign Grace Church of Bakersfield, CA, since 2018. She has been a Registered Nurse for the past four years at an outpatient infusion center. In Whitney's free time, she likes to relax by watching a TV show, such as Monk, and dabbles in embroidery, pottery, and enjoy traveling. She desires help connect the young adults from the surrounding churches of Kern County to help create community for one another. She is excited to see what the Lord does in this area of California and looks forward to the many future connections that form, Lord willing.

Matt joined Abide in 2024. He is a member of and licensed to exhort at Ascension Reformed Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently a Candidate for Ministry. As the leader of the young adult fellowship group at his church, Matt joined Abide to foster more young adult connections across the region. He and his wife, Courtney, benefited greatly from a college ministry that they met through, and both desire to walk alongside young adult Christians, encouraging them to make connections with others in the same phase of life. Matt is a Senior Facility Technician at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. Aside from wrestling his three sons, Matt enjoys perusing book stores filled with old books, studying history, and staying active.

Kristin joined Abide in 2026 after moving from Canada to Washington State to teach in a Christian Classical School. She loves being involved in her own church, Covenant Grace URC in Lynden, WA, and increasing fellowship between believers. As such, Abide is a natural fit: an organization where she can pursue her passion of bringing together Christian young adults to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other. Besides this, she loves reading, hiking, and playing board games and piano all of which are improved when accompanied by a great cup of coffee.

Tim served on both the Board of Directors and he also served as the database manager. His work allowed us to track and compile information across multiple databases, so that marketing campaigns could be run successfully. Tim proved to be an incredible blessing to Abide throughout his years of service.

Adrianna served Abide as the Retreat Committee Manager for eight years, making her one of Abide's longest-serving volunteers. Abide has had over 10 years of ministry, and Adrianna was an essential part of that, as she helped to put together roughly eight different retreats over the years.

Andrew served as an area coordinator of events for his area near Bakersfield, California. After attending events simply as a guest, he was moved to volunteer to help keep the young adult networks in Bakersfield thriving.

Nicole joined Abide in 2019. Over her time at Abide, she served both as an Area Coordinator of Events in North Washington and on the Board of Directors. She successfully fostered a local community while helping to cast the vision for the ministry of Abide. She is someone who is a joy to be around and who brings light and warmth wherever she goes. We thank Nicole for her 8 years of service!

Annika served on the board of directors for quite some time. She worked very hard to get Abide to where it is today. Her administrative skills, coupled with her visionary qualities, have helped Abide become what it is today.

Hope served as an official employee of Abide, working as Abide's administrative assistant. Hope helped Abide achieve many milestones, one of which was the NAPARC map that she put together. Hope served for two years in this role and left Abide in an incredibly better position than when she first started. Her attention to detail and administrative skills bless Abide more than words can say.

Jesse served on the Board of Directors and has blessed Abide with his reason and logic, especially when it came to problem-solving. Though he served for many years with a full plate, he always made sure to be a solid ballast while working through conversations on the board.

William served on the board and also as the finance manager. He has since gone on to get married, and his years of service to Abide were a tremendous blessing.

Kyle joined Abide in 2022, where he started as an area coordinator in California before joining the Board of Directors, and eventually becoming the Vice President. He went on to marry the love of his life, Jocelyn, and they now live in Denver. He sacrificed his time and energy serving Abide while being busy with other ministry opportunities because he believes in the mission and vision of Abide. Some of his hobbies include exploring Colorado and going hiking with his dog, Fred.

Ethan served for a year as the area coordinator of events for North Jersey, getting a much-needed area started that had previously not existed. Because of him, our North Jersey area is still thriving today.

Esther served as an area coordinator of events in California, where she put on multiple events each year until meeting the love of her life, Devin. Her warm and energetic personality helped to create an environment where young adults felt wanted and accepted.

Michael and Stacy served on the retreat committee, with Stacy serving for six years and Michael serving for two years. Like many of the other volunteers that preceded them, their years of hard work, dedication, and persistence allowed Abide to have thriving retreats, with upward of 120 people. Abide would not have had as successful retreats if it weren't for the Ratzlaffs.

Benjamin served on the retreat committee and was particularly valuable in getting young adults together in North Washington, where he helped the local area coordinator in being a faithful presence at the events.

Brett and Olivia served as area coordinators in North Texas, and Brett individually served on the board of directors. Brett was always a valuable part of the discussion, as he helped Abide make big decisions that would impact its history for years to come.

Keegan served as an area coordinator in Middle Tennessee. Soon after taking on the role, he saw a large attendance of young adults gathering in the area, upwards of 40 people. He was incredibly thorough and did everything in his power to begin cultivating a healthy network of young adults in his area.

Taylor served on the Board of Directors for many years and played a crucial role in the organization's transition from West Coast Reform Fellowship to Abide. She blessed Abide with her visionary gifting and implementation of her ideas.
