The Need for Young Adult Reformed Fellowship
Reformed and presbyterian Christianity has a rich heritage that ties back to the Reformation. Yet, in our day, reformed and presbyterian churches in NAPARC are not the majority of Christian churches in America. With roughly 2,700 churches, finding like-minded reformed and presbyterian believers can be difficult. Many of today’s young adults are facing isolation, cultural pressures, and spiritual drift struggling with unhealthy influences. Friend groups change due to career, marriage, and relocation, leaving some feeling alone and in need of more community. Often, they find it in other types of churches, as NAPARC churches tend to be small and less common.
 
How Abide Fills the Gap
Abide exists to meet this urgent need for a strong, Christ-centered community among reformed and presbyterian young adults—a need that many church elders and leaders have expressed concern over. Through gatherings that bring together like-minded young adults from NAPARC churches, we support, rather than replace, the ministry of the local church.
 
Our vision is to see faithfully reformed young adult gatherings near every NAPARC congregation in North America, whether led by Abide or another faithful effort. We host local events in 14 areas in 10 states across the USA. Over the past 9 years of ministry, we have also hosted 11 retreats with speakers including Joel Beeke, Mark Jones, Chris Gordon, and Barry York. And more than 500 young adults are using the Abide mobile app. God has graciously blessed these efforts, resulting in greater ecumenicity among NAPARC churches, countless new friendships, and 16 marriages.

Your support helps to cover expenses such as employee salaries, website fees, software subscriptions, speaker costs, promotional costs, and liability insurance that allow Abide to operate and grow. By covering these expenses, you provide the organizational structure and support needed by our 21 volunteers who donate hundreds of hours per year—a $100,000+ value that multiplies every dollar donated to the ministry.
