Let's experiment and see how a theological conversation goes on here. If you disagree with others in the comments, remember to be charitable, speaking to one another with love and grace! The Reformed community lands all over the map on this question.
How often should the Lord's Supper be observed?
Weekly
Bi-Weekly
Monthly
Quarterly
This is a conversation that I've seen a few times, but I haven't looked into enough to have an answer for we should do this and not that.
I grew up in a church where it was done quarterly, I wasn't a professing member, so I didn't partake, but looking back, it felt like such a long time between, too long.
In my current church, where I am a professing member, we do it monthly, and I think that monthly should be the minimum time between having it.
I've seen the argument that weekly would make it too ritualistic, and we'd lose the importance. But we read the 10 commandments weekly for good reason, so I think weekly is fine. I understand where they're coming from with that argument, but I think it's a good concern to note, but not a reason against having it frequently.
